We would also like to thank Fox River Trail Runners for including us on their 2018 Race Circuit!
The 17th Annual Fox Trot 5K/10K race held on Saturday, April 29, 2017, was a smashing success and we want to thank all of our wonderful participants who help us to make this event the “friendliest race on the Fox River!”
It took place at the Batavia Riverwalk (Island Avenue & Houston Street in downtown Batavia). Both the 5K and 10K featured courses along the beautiful Fox River. Kids also joined in on the fun, too! The Fox Trot featured two non-competitive races designed especially for children. The Junior Jog, for children in preschool, kindergarten, or first grade is approximately ¼ mile long. Second through fifth graders were encouraged to try the Youth Run (1 mile).

The 16th Annual Fox Trot 5K and 10K Race took place on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. at the Batavia Riverwalk (Island Avenue & Houston Street in downtown Batavia). The day’s events featured a 5K and a 10K race as well as the Kids’ Fun Runs. Over 300 runners came out to support our mission. The H.C. Storm Chorus started the race off with the singing of the national anthem and Batavia Academy of Dance provided a performance while runners awaited the results of the race.
This race could never have happened without the fantastic support of our sponsors, BMCF volunteers, and the dedicated runners, many of whom return year after year. Thank you to all who participated, volunteered, or supported this race!

Our 33rd Annual Craft and Vendor show has now closed. It was a wonderful event with over 100 booths attended by over 850 patrons. We thank our Platinum Sponsors, Apollo Development and Investment and A.R.Bohr Roofing, LLC, and all our sponsors and in-kind donors, without whom this event would not be possible. The Autumn Craft and Vendor Show is BMCF’s largest annual fundraiser.
Crafters and Vendors: Please keep us in mind as you plan your schedules next year. Applications for the 2019 Show will be available early in Spring 2019.
Our 32nd Annual Autumn Craft & Vendor Show was held on Saturday, October 21,2017, at Batavia High School. Over 700 shoppers came through the doors to enjoy more than 100 crafters and vendors, the ever-popular bake sale, a charity raffle, the 50/50 raffle, the new Community Pumpkin Patch, and lunch served by McAlister’s Deli and Bernie’s Bully Dogs.
BMCF would like to thank all of the participants in the Community Pumpkin Patch. Charities from across the Fox Valley carved and/or decorated pumpkins to display in our Pumpkin Patch this year. Attendees of the show used their spare change to vote for their favorite pumpkin. All of the money raised through voting went directly to the group that designed the pumpkin. We proudly announce that Lazarus House won the friendly contest, followed by CHIP IN Batavia and Valley Sheltered Workshop.
BMCF appreciates the support of all of our sponsors of this community event especially our platinum sponsors: Apollo Development & Investment and A.R. Bohr Roofing LLC, as well as all of our additional sponsors and our in-kind donors. The Autumn Craft & Vendor Show is BMCF’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds from the show are distributed to local charities whose work improves the lives of children and families in our community.
Totally Rad Bunco was held February 3, 2018 at the Batavia Moose Lodge. This event was again at capacity, filling in only 2 weeks of the registration being available!
In addition to Bunco, there was a raffle, silent auction, heads or tails game, wine pull, free snacks including some 80’s themed candy, and a cash bar. All money raised through the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation goes directly back to the community through the schools or local organizations that focus on helping children.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions about this event at 630-282-3153 or email us at bunco@bataviamothersclub.org
This year’s event was almost at max capacity. Attendees enjoyed traveling back to the 80s listening to tunes from Bon Jovi and Cyndi Lauper to El Debarge and Stevie Wonder as well as noshing on refreshments from Enticing Cuisine or snacks like candy cigarettes. Raffles and mini games accompanied the main event, Bunco, as well. Both volunteers and attendees alike donned neon, leg warmers, acid-washed jeans or Flashdance-inspired gear and were met with many laughs. We had a wonderful time this year and we hope that all of our participants did as well!
Our 2nd Annual Bunco Charity Fundraiser was held on January 30, 2016, at the Batavia Moose Lodge (1535 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL 60510). We had a wonderful turnout with this event selling out! Lots of fun was had by all with raffle prizes, silent auction, heads or tails game, door prizes, snacks, and a cash bar. We are grateful to our sponsors and to all of our participants for making this event such a wonderful success!
All money raised from this event and other events through the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation go directly back to the community through the schools or local organizations that focus on helping children and families.
We hope you will join us again next year for this fun event. Stay tuned for next year’s date!
The First Annual Bunco Charity Fundraiser was a huge success! Over 70 participants rolled the dice on February 7th, 2015, looking to win a variety of prizes including jewelry, wine, and gift certificates. They also enjoyed participating in a “heads or tails” fundraiser and a silent auction which included tickets to Blackhawks and Bulls games, golf outings, high-end Craftsman tools items, and spa/hotel stays. Participants also sampled fabulous food from Aliano’s Ristorante in Batavia and delicious desserts provided by The Party Kitchen in Geneva.
