Planning for the 2021 Autumn Craft & Vendor Show is underway!

We are excited to announce that the Batavia Mothers Club Foundation’s 35th Craft and Vendor Show will take place on Saturday, Oct 23, 2021, at Shannon Hall (14 N Van Buren St, Batavia, IL 60510). Due to COVID-19 restrictions and for planning the event we are making some changes from our previous event. Here are the highlights for this year’s show:
  • This will be a more intimate event
  • We will have 15-20 booths
  • Booth size will be 5X8
  • Early bird registration ends on July 1st, after that, booth cost will increase
  • The maximum percentage of vendors will be 25%.*We will only accept one brand of each vendor and they will be accepted on a first come first serve with payment; all applications online are time stamped.
  • There will be 3 jury meetings to officially approve crafter and vendor applications; the first in June, a second towards the end of July, and the last in late August/early September.  You will receive an email communicating whether you have been accepted to the show or not.
  • Registration will close when all booths sell out or October 1st (Online registration closes Sept 30).
  • Lunch will not be served as it has been in the past, but we will offer local recommendations from which you can order or you may bring your own lunch.

The 2020 show was cancelled!

Like most events of 2020, the BMCF Autumn Craft & Vendor Show was cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Applicants had the option of donating their application fee to the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation, or to transferring their application fee to the 2021 Craft Show.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2019 Batavia Mothers’ Club Craft and Vendor Show a success!  We raised over $16,000 for local charities!!!

The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation (BMCF) held its 34th Annual Autumn Craft & Vendor Show on Saturday, October 19,2019, at Batavia High School. Over 850 shoppers came through the doors to enjoy more than 100 crafters and vendors, the ever-popular bake sale, a charity raffle, the 50/50 raffle, the Community Pumpkin Patch, and lunch served by McAlister’s Deli and Bernie’s Bully Dogs.

BMCF would like to thank all of the participants in the Community Pumpkin Patch.  Charities from across the Fox Valley carved and/or decorated pumpkins and gourds to display in our Pumpkin Patch. Attendees of the show donated spare change to their favorite pumpkin’s cauldron.  All monies raised through the pumpkin patch went directly to the group that designed the pumpkin. Participating organizations this year were 1st Grade Daisy Girl Scout Troop 1708, 1st Grade Daisy Girl Scout Troop 1544, 7th Grade Cadette Girl Scout Troop 111, Aunt Mary’s Storybook Project, Batavia Activity & Athletic Foundation, Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry, Batavia Women’s Club, Batavia United Way, Chip In, H.C. Storm Elementary, JB Nelson Elementary SAB, Marklund, and Suicide Prevention Services..

BMCF appreciates the support of all of our sponsors and in-kind donors in making our largest community event and fundraiser a success.  Special thanks to our platinum sponsors: Apollo Development & Investment, A.R. Bohr Roofing LLC, and Orange Theory Fitness. Proceeds from the show are distributed to local charities whose work improves the lives of children and families in our community.

Bunco Charity Event

BMCF’s annual in-person Bunco event will not happen as usual in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are offering a virtual bingo event on March 7th, and stay tuned for more virtual and in-person events soon.


Totally Rad Bunco 2020 was held Feb 29, 2020 and was a sold-out success!  Thanks again to the Batavia Moose Lodge for hosting us for a fun night of rolling dice and flashing back to the 80s for a great cause! In addition to the main BUNCO games, there was a raffle, silent auction, heads or tails game, and more.
All money raised from this event and other events through the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation go directly back to the community through the schools or local organizations that focus on helping children and families.

 

Bunco 2019

The third installment of Totally Rad Bunco was held January, 2019 at the Batavia Moose Lodge. This event was again at capacity!  In addition to Bunco, there was a raffle, silent auction, heads or tails game, wine pull, free snacks including some 80’s themed candy, and a cash bar. All money raised through the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation goes directly back to the community through the schools or local organizations that focus on helping children.

Bunco 2018

We had such a blast with I Love the 80’s, Totally Rad Bunco that we did it AGAIN!!

Totally Rad Bunco was held February 3, 2018 at the Batavia Moose Lodge. This event was again at capacity, filling in only 2 weeks of the registration being available!

In addition to Bunco, there was a raffle, silent auction, heads or tails game, wine pull, free snacks including some 80’s themed candy, and a cash bar. All money raised through the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation goes directly back to the community through the schools or local organizations that focus on helping children.

Bunco 2017

 

Our 3rd annual Bunco was held on February 25, 2017, at Batavia Moose Lodge and a radically awesome time was had by all who attended! The theme this year was I love the 80s, Totally Rad Bunco.

This year’s event was almost at max capacity. Attendees enjoyed traveling back to the 80s listening to tunes from Bon Jovi and Cyndi Lauper to El Debarge and Stevie Wonder as well as noshing on refreshments from Enticing Cuisine or snacks like candy cigarettes. Raffles and mini games accompanied the main event, Bunco, as well. Both volunteers and attendees alike donned neon, leg warmers, acid-washed jeans or Flashdance-inspired gear and were met with many laughs. We had a wonderful time this year and we hope that all of our participants did as well!

Our 2nd Annual Bunco Charity Fundraiser was held on January 30, 2016, at the Batavia Moose Lodge (1535 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL 60510). We had a wonderful turnout with this event selling out! Lots of fun was had by all with raffle prizes, silent auction, heads or tails game, door prizes, snacks, and a cash bar. We are grateful to our sponsors and to all of our participants for making this event such a wonderful success!

Bunco 2015

The First Annual Bunco Charity Fundraiser was a huge success! Over 70 participants rolled the dice on February 7th, 2015, looking to win a variety of prizes including jewelry, wine, and gift certificates. They also enjoyed participating in a “heads or tails” fundraiser and a silent auction which included tickets to Blackhawks and Bulls games, golf outings, high-end Craftsman tools items, and spa/hotel stays. Participants also sampled fabulous food from Aliano’s Ristorante in Batavia and delicious desserts provided by The Party Kitchen in Geneva.

Fox Trot Run/Walk

 

Batavia Mothers’ Club Fox Trot: April 16-26th, 2021!

The Batavia Mothers’ Club invites you to participate in our 20th Annual Fox Trot 5k, 10k and our new non-competitive 1 mile virtual runs. The Fox Trot will be held virtually from April 16th until April 26th.

Those who register on or before April 1, 2021 are guaranteed a men’s, women’s or kids’ t-shirt.

E-certificates will go to the top 3 overall men and women and 1st place e-certificates will go to the first place men and women runners in each 10-year age division.

The cost for this year’s 5k or 10k virtual race is $35 and the Fun Run is $15 per participant.

On Saturday April 27, 2019, the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation (BMCF) hosted the 19th Annual Fox Trot 5K & 10K and kids runs at the lovely Batavia Riverwalk. Nearly 200 runners and walkers enjoyed the races just before the untimely winter weather arrived. Overall, the event raised nearly $3000 for area charities and schools.

Bohr Roofing, LLC; and Orangetheory Fitness; and in-kind donors without whom these events could not take place. BMCF would also like to thank Fox River Trail Runners for including us in their 2019 race circuit and all the elementary school and other running clubs who participated with us. Finally thanks to all of the dedicated runners and walkers, many of whom return year after year! The money raised from this event, as well as all of BMCF’s events, are disbursed to local charities and educational organizations serving women, children, and families.
