Hey Batavia! Are you looking for a little fun for a friend or your kids this Halloween? Look no further than the Batavia Mothers’ Club “You’ve Been Booed” fundraiser. For $5, we will deliver a small bag of treats to an address of your choosing (the “Baby Boo”). For $20, the “Boo Crew” will deliver a larger Boo Bag and toss two dozen treat filled egg shaped monsters in the front yard (the “Big Boo”). Slots of both boos are limited, so register now!
Those purchasing the Big Boo can select a 1-hour time window on Saturday, Oct 24th. Baby Boos will be delivered on Saturday, Oct 24th or Sunday, Oct 25th. ALL BOO RECIPIENTS MUST RESIDE WITHIN BATAVIA SCHOOL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES!
Lace up your running shoes and bring the family to the friendliest race on the Fox River! The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation (BMCF) is excited to invite you to participate in one of two race options this year: virtual or in-person.
The 20st Annual Fox Trot 5K and 10K in-person race will be held on April 24th, 2021 at the Batavia Riverwalk (Island Avenue & Houston Street in downtown Batavia). Both the 5K and 10K start at 8:00AM and feature courses along the beautiful Fox River. The Fox Trot also features two non-competitive races designed for children. The Junior Jog, for children in preschool through first grade, is approximately ¼ mile long. Second through fifth graders are encouraged to try the Youth Run (1 mile). The kids’ events begin at approximately 8:45AM. Back by popular demand this year is the 5K Stroller Division.
Pre-registration for all events is encouraged. The first 300 registrants, who register by April 1st, will be guaranteed a men’s or women’s race t-shirt. Medals will be given to the top three overall men and women runners for the 5K and 10K, and medals will go to the 1st place men and women runners in each 10-year age division. Pre-registration cost for the 5K is $30 and the 10K is $40.
Children who run in the Junior Jog (1/4 mile) or the Youth Run (1 mile) will receive a medal and a goody bag. There is no charge for the kids’ runs, but a $10 donation is suggested.
In-person registration will also be accepted on race day from 6:30 – 7:40 a.m. just outside the Peg Bond center. Registration fees after April 22nd will be $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K. We look forward to seeing you on April 24th for this fun and family-friendly event!
Funds raised through this event will support local charities in the Fox Valley area, as well as Batavia schools.

This year’s event was almost at max capacity. Attendees enjoyed traveling back to the 80s listening to tunes from Bon Jovi and Cyndi Lauper to El Debarge and Stevie Wonder as well as noshing on refreshments from Enticing Cuisine or snacks like candy cigarettes. Raffles and mini games accompanied the main event, Bunco, as well. Both volunteers and attendees alike donned neon, leg warmers, acid-washed jeans or Flashdance-inspired gear and were met with many laughs. We had a wonderful time this year and we hope that all of our participants did as well!
Our 2nd Annual Bunco Charity Fundraiser was held on January 30, 2016, at the Batavia Moose Lodge (1535 S. Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL 60510). We had a wonderful turnout with this event selling out! Lots of fun was had by all with raffle prizes, silent auction, heads or tails game, door prizes, snacks, and a cash bar. We are grateful to our sponsors and to all of our participants for making this event such a wonderful success!

We hope you will join us again next year for this fun event. Stay tuned for next year’s date!
The First Annual Bunco Charity Fundraiser was a huge success! Over 70 participants rolled the dice on February 7th, 2015, looking to win a variety of prizes including jewelry, wine, and gift certificates. They also enjoyed participating in a “heads or tails” fundraiser and a silent auction which included tickets to Blackhawks and Bulls games, golf outings, high-end Craftsman tools items, and spa/hotel stays. Participants also sampled fabulous food from Aliano’s Ristorante in Batavia and delicious desserts provided by The Party Kitchen in Geneva.
The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation has been closely following the ever-changing status of the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the recommendations from the CDC, Governor Pritzker, and the IDPH, we are cancelling the 2020 Craft Show that was to be held on Saturday, October 17th. The health and well being of our community is important to BMCF. Though we are disappointed to cancel the always popular and fun Craft Show, we hope that in doing so we are doing our part to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Applicants will have the option of donating their application fee to the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation, or to transfer their application fee to next year’s 2021 Craft Show. Our foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit and we work hard every year to raise money for families in the Fox Valley. If you choose to donate your application fee to BMCF, your business name will be recognized as a bronze sponsor to our organization featured on our website and social media outlets. If donating or transferring your application fee is not an option, you may request a full refund via check.
We appreciate your continued support of the Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation and our mission to improve the quality of life for children and families in the Fox Valley. As our community navigates these uncertain and stressful times it is a gift to be able to lean on our friends and neighbors. Thank you for being a part of the BMCF community.

The Batavia Mothers’ Club Foundation (BMCF) held its 34th Annual Autumn Craft & Vendor Show on Saturday, October 19,2019, at Batavia High School. BMCF would like to thank all of the participants in the Community Pumpkin Patch. Charities from across the Fox Valley carved and/or decorated pumpkins and gourds to display in our Pumpkin Patch.
